My manager was sick, so I worked a 12 hour day that yielded a conversation this morning that involved the question: "Should I have earmarked you for management? ...because EVERYBODY on the store side said you handled the busiest day that should never be worked alone in stride!"

Derrell had my car for a maintenance check/oil change, so he dropped me off and picked me up. On the way home, he turned left to make a bee-line for my favorite local Italian eatery where we had our first date: Vito Provolone's. To make a long story short, an extremely romantic man popped the question in traditional style after asking my Father's permission. He still seems worried that the ring isn't as much as he wanted, but I'm trying to get it across to him that he is my biggest shiny :)

Work was unremarkable in a pleasantly passable way, busy enough not to drag. I got to see a friend that I had not seen in two years, and catch up on things. I got to spend another lovely Sunday at the range with a person I could pass hours in the presence of without saying anything, and successfully scheduled next Sunday as a trip to the art museum with said person.

For all the words I have running around in my head, this is all that seems appropriate for now. Larger post due the sixteenth, I think. Perhaps another on the fourth of next month.
